Mom's having me over for dinner tonight. My brother, SIL and the twins are coming to town. We'll be having roasted chicken salad from Fresh Market. Beyond that, I'm not sure what she's serving.

I'll return to my house to watch the game. I gotta make sure the Duke Basketball Christmas tree is turned on before tipoff.

I barbecued baby back ribs on the smoker yersterday, I still have a full rack left. I'll probably eat those. If they get eaten at lunch, then I've got a bunch of chicken drumettes I'm going to first deep fry, then bake with a sauce. (Not buffalo wing sauce, I'm not in the mood for spicy tonight).

In 2001, we went to Arnie Schecter's house in chapel hill for both games. On Saturday night - the Maryland game - we had Carnegie Deli delivered. Yup, they FedEx'd it down to us! The mojo of being at Arnie's worked so well that we all decided to go back for Monday night's game. There were no leftovers (surprise surprise!), so we had pizza delivered on Monday night.

I'm going to watch the game at home tonight, just where I was on Saturday. That seems to work well this year!

I'll be eating a double chocolate klondike bar at half-time.

VDB and CathyCA, where did you get your Duke christmas trees?

Since I am already a nervous wreck...there will be no lucky dinner. I can't eat if I'm nervous. I will try to have lunch to keep me from passing out before halftime.

Absolutely petrified... with a weird sense of calm, knowing that JS is running the point.

FWIW, at the game, I nearly just broke down in tears over the whole experience.

Will probably do so tonight, no matter the outcome.

Relax, folks. Take a deep breath. Tonight will be fun! We're going to shoot well and this will be just like all our last nine games. Tight early, with a slight lead, then we'll move out in the second half. We'll play ball control (not stall ball) starting about the 8 minute mark and win comfortable by 12 to 15 points. #4, here comes DUKE!

So it is written, so it shall be. B-)

That's been my response to every Final Four Duke's been since the 1978 tournament.

Two years ago, I bought a white tree at Walmart. They also had blue lights. I have been collecting Duke ornaments for years. I still didn't have enough so I went to a party store and bought basketballs, footballs, baseballs and soccer balls, about 2". I bought Blue Devil stickers to put on the balls. I also have a big blue ribbon with a small (soft), about 6", Duke basketball for the topper. I use Duke fabric as the skirt. I leave the tree up until our basketball season is over. I love my Duke tree. :)

My wife better bring back a souvenir from Shapiro's... oh no, but will she want to hold onto it for the game?

Hmm...

I'm beginning the get nauseous now.

This final four has been much more exciting for me due to all my Duke friends here. I've watched all the final fours Duke has been in since I moved here in 1998 by myself. This is the first time I chose to watch them by myself (you never, never, never mess with a streak).

No matter what happens tonight, I am so excited to share the experience via Section 21 with all of you, as I have throughout the whole tournament.

I have a Duke Santa that my Mom gave me years ago. It stays out until b'ball season is over.

I'm going to watch at my sister's house. She said they have champagne - but very quietly last weekend - if we win. Do I trust her to have the good stuff or should I expect Korbel?

When we watched the '91 finals, I cracked a bottle of nice champagne when Duke won. The sisters, both KU grads, wanted to know what I would have done if KU had won. I told them I would have opened the cheap bottle of champagne I brought. Should I be watching for paybacks tonight?
