ACC COY

Coach of the year for the ACC - who gets it?

To me the only viable candidates are Coach K, Gary Williams and Seth Greenberg (With SG as a longshot). I think Gary wins it because we were expected to win the conference, or at least finish near the top and nothing much was expected from Maryland. Now if we win out I could certainly make a strong case for Coach K, but I think he's been too successful over his career to win COY unless we go undefeated or something.

Now the more funner part:
Who was the WCOY (Worst coach of the year)?

I can't think of a worse coach then Roy. Hewitt maybe with the amount of talent he had, but 'Ol Roy's 'holes were preseason top 5 and are still the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.

What about Tony Bennett? UVA was supposed to be horrible this year, and the holes took over that role for them.

He was in the lead...but they sorta petered out. Gary is gonna sweat all over his award.

I figured Bennett was going to get it after they went 5-3 in the first half of the ACC Season. Then they went 0-6 to start the second half....

If they win their last 2 games, @BC and MD at home, he'll be in the running. Otherwise I think it's Gary's to lose

I would so much rather see Bennett win than Gary.

Bennett is my choice. He's held student athletes' feet to the fire and made tough decisions. Nice to know at least one other school is insisting guys go to class.
