Our ladies played hard but couldn't pull off beating Md.They tried. We still love all of you. The season is not over. Keep up the great play.
The guys beat the hell out of the tarholes. They were great. Wouldn't it be something if they go all the way this year? We can hope.

I wouldn't say a 2 goal W is beating the hell outta them but is is nice to beat them twice in a season-in any sport.

I hope they show the games on ESPN and not the U. I'd like to watch them win it all.

In recent years, they've been on the Uno, at least the title game has...it's something of a Memorial Day tradition.

Indeed, we'll be on ESPN2 at noon on Saturday, with the title game on the mother ship on Monday at 1 (all in HD!):

Great win for the Devils! Should be an epic semifinal with Syracuse. Two teams that like to run-and-gun. Duke's win over Carolina (another up-tempo team) should help prepare it. Syracuse had to play a slow-down Maryland team, so that could be an edge for the Devils.
This year's FF is incredibly balanced. Consider:
Syracuse has lost to Virginia and beaten Cornell
Cornell has lost to Virginia and Syracuse and beaten Duke
Virginia has lost to Duke twice and beaten Syracuse and Cornell
Duke has lost to Cornell and beaten Virginia twice.
Each team has beaten and lost to at least one other remaining squad.
Another interesting note--only seven programs have ever won the D1 Men's Lacrosse title. They are Syracuse, Maryland, Virginia, Cornell, UNC, Johns Hopkins, and Princeton. Those teams made up 7/8 of the quarterfinals this year. The eighth team? The Duke Blue Devils. Hopefully we can become the eight program to win a title.
