Lance Thomas
Thought he needed some vibes.
In Coach K's news conference he said it was the knee but not his ACL. And it's a serious injury.
Get better soon Lance!!

It looked like a dislocated patella or something along those lines...not good.Jesus_hurley wrote:Thought he needed some vibes.

Re: Lance Thomas
Vibes to Lance for a quick recovery. I think if he had been in the game for the second half, with his defense, it would have been well in hand before the 3 minute mark.

Re: Lance Thomas
Haven't heard anything definitive but Coach Collins was on 620 this morning and said it's unlikely Lance will miss an extended period of time.

Another update:
Lance is doubtful for this weekend's game against Maryland. As of right now the injury is classified as a severe bone bruise to his right knee

Re: Lance Thomas
I'm cool with this. I'd worry a lot more if we weren't at home this weekend, and I know we'll definitely miss him, but I'm looking forward to seeing the other bigs (especially Mason) and how they respond to a move from the frying pan of the Nose Dome to the fire of Saturday's tilt against the other league frontrunner.Jesus_hurley wrote:Another update:

Re: Lance Thomas
I agree. Mason and Miles also seem to play so much better when in the line up together. Kelly should get more PT, and we may even see Singler slide to the 4 some with Nolan, Andre and Jon in the backcourtwilson wrote:I'm cool with this. Re: Lance Thomas
I saw this on WRAL's website too and initially took it as good news overall. Am I right? Is there a doctor in the house? DukePA? A bone bruise, while serious, I would think can heal before tournament time???? I'm guessing.Jesus_hurley wrote:Another update:

Re: Lance Thomas
Too bad that he'll probably miss a game, but much better than I had feared. I was a bit worried about a fractured patella, which would have been a season-ender.Jesus_hurley wrote:Another update:

Re: Lance Thomas
Depends on the severity and where it is. From my understanding, it's MOSTLY, but not all, a pain management issue. I've had a few bone bruises in my day, and I usually played with them, but I never had a crack Duke medical staff advising me, so if I had, I might not have played with them. ;)EarlJam wrote:I saw this on WRAL's website too and initially took it as good news overall.
