It's a dank day.

My Devils ran into a buzz saw last night. Today is dank and rainy. I'm cold and achy. I have to pay bills. I can't find the joke thread and I'm not happy . Here's a joke to plant the seed. Somebody write back with another one that will warm me up and make me grin:
"A dyslexic guy walks into a bra." (Bless his heart.)

Thought for the day!
Some people are like Slinkies...
Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face
when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Well, my generation gap is showing, Rolvix. I thought dank still meant damp and cold!
Native will be proud of his old granny next time she uses it with it's current meaning! Thanks.

PS Good one, AW! This is a good day to push a "slinky" down some steps. I dare one to cross me right now!

A hunter with a gun walks into the woods, completely dressed in hunting gear. He pauses, looks up to the heavens, and prays,
"Lord, thank you for this night. As I go into these woods, I know you will protect me and keep me from harm. I pray that I am successful at providing dinner."
Thirty feet away, behind the rustling leaves, a grizzly bear is also looking up to the heavens.
"Dear Lord, thank you for this food I am about to receive!"

Sorry your Thursday was so sucky. Yesterday was awful for me, so I can relate.
Got up for work a little late.
In traffic on the way to work, almost creamed some idiot who dared get in my way
Deadline for a bunch of reports were looming (and I didn't make the deadline for alll, just most)
The boss was a pest (called me every ten minutes.... luckily she was out of the office and in the field)
Got home & walked the dog.... the dog almost got away
Rain soaked ground made for a muddy track into the apt and onto the carpet
Computer (laptop) down and out, the botton got wet due to a small amount of liquid
Dinner sucked
Missed my girl badly
And just when I was ready to settle in for the night and write the whole miserable day off..... the dog barfed in my bed!!!
Yes yes, the week was long, Friday sucked... TGFW (Thank God for the Weekend!!!)

Well, it's a sunny Saturday now and Ozzie has a new grandbaby's neck to kiss and k68 has learned to not let the dog on his bed and the Devils are looking forward to proving something on the road tonight and DukeRah made it through a tough week at work and hasn't cranked up a fever so far and I'm on my way up to my studio to design and color plan a new rug hooking project before heading up to the lake to spend a couple of days and ........I'm sure more things to be grateful for will come to mind. Go Duke and everybody have a good weekend!

No, no, no.
That was Abraham Lincoln's last words on earth:
"SO? What are YOU gonna do about it?"
You see, John W. Booth was frustrated, as he could not see the play due to Lincoln's height and tall hat. Booth asked Lincoln to remove it several times until he had just had enough. He tapped Lincoln on the shoulder and said, "SIR! I cannot see the play for the size of your stupid hat!"
At that point Lincoln, not wanting to be "shown up" with his wife next to him, kept looking straight ahead as he smugly said, "SO!? What are YOU going to do about it?" Well, the rest is history but.............okay, nevermind. Bad joke.
Duke must win tonight.
