Who was the guy who did all of the "little" things against Wake?

It's unanimous :)) =)) .

Close the poll.

One could also argue for Nolan with 20 points and the tough D he played on the other smith in the 2nd half (0 points).

Yup, me too. But as I said in the comment on the MOTM, it was a really close decision to go with Kyle over Mason for the BeDeviler. A toss-up, or maybe a throw-down, or should I say thrown-down decision. :D

I went with Mason. He and Miles kept us in the game in the first half when no one else could make a shot fall. He played a good, solid game right until the throw down by Smith. Miles, definitely motm.

Mason.
I guess he may be our response for whenever a team decides to play football against us.

We gotta find more ways to get some love for Nolan. If I had my vote over, it would go to him or Mason. Not that I regret my vote for Singler. A lot of players were deserving this game.

While Nolan DID light up the boxscore with points (20?), a couple of things really stood out to me that do NOT show up in the boxscore.

1) Defense - Enough has been written so I'll just leave it at that. While he DID get a lot of help from other Duke players, Smith was responsible for guarding Ish, and did an obviously fantastic job. But you won't see it in the boxscore.

2) Offense - You'll see 20 points in the boxscore. What you won't see is when the points came. This is not the first game where Nolan hit a big basket at a time when Duke was struggling offensively. In many ways, it reminds me of Daniel Ewing. Watch Nolan. He is developing a knack for knocking down a shot when Duke needs one the most.

3) Attitude - Nolan may be a wild party animal. I don't know. But from what I've seen, he seems to be a rather quiet, polite, professional guy which is NOT to be mistaken for weakness on the court; it's rather, the opposite. He is a silent killer on the court. Yet, while he is getting some recognition, for the most part people are repeatedly praising the Plumlees, Singler, Scheyer, etc. AND DESERVEDLY SO!!! Even Zoub has his own chat and has become sort of "celebrity" for all kinds of reasons. Again, well deserved and I'm not knocking that.

All the while, however, Nolan is taking it in stride. He just wants to win and is definitely doing his share to ensure winning takes place.

I just wish there was a way to show Rollin' NOLAN SMITH more love. Any and all ideas are welcome.

-EarlJam....A huge Nolan fan.

Mason Plumlee: 15 minutes
4/6 from the floor, 3/4 from the line for 11 points
7 rebounds

Kyle Singler: 37 minutes
7/19, 5/7 for 21 points
15 rebounds

Nolan Smith: 38 minutes
6/17, 7/7 for 20 points
2 steals

Per minute Mason was the best of the 3. But I chose him due more to how efficient he was.

I chose Nolan due to his awesome defense.
