That's so cool! I just set my DVR to record it.
Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.

How do we know who he is? By the way, my favorite scene is Dr. Kaku in the car after the plasma torch, describing the torch with both hands. He totally looks like he is driving, therefore he looked like he was driving for a while without holding onto the wheel.

I don't think we get the Science Channel in Greenville.

That's actually a pretty cool channel, but I think it is a premium channel package that doesn't come with the normal package.... similar to the extended sports package! I got a free trial when I got my HD box for 30 days and I actually watched that channel a lot as there were some pretty cool programs on there...

You don't get the SciFi (or as it is called now Syfy) I thought that was a standard channel on everything, except the rabbit ears which they did away with last year!Lavabe wrote:Dang!!

No, it's not standard service here. And it's not expanded standard service either.cl15876 wrote:You don't get the SciFi (or as it is called now Syfy) I thought that was a standard channel on everything, except the rabbit ears which they did away with last year!

He was on the show and you can see him as long as you don't blink ;) . Actually, he probably had about 15 seconds of screen time and the show did a decent job of explaining what he's actually doing when he "stops light".

He also does research on CPT, Charge-Parity-Time Reversal invariance. Plus he's part of the astrocomb project designed to find earthlike planets in other solar systems. And he's working on making lung imaging with MRIs much faster and better. He's a smart guy. Duke should be proud.Lavabe wrote:Your husband stops light?!?!?!Bostondevil wrote:He was on the show and you can see him as long as you don't blink ;) . Hey, it's a word coined by my husband, and if it works, I'm sure it will enter the lexicon, so, I'm all for it.
