New, Fiercer Logo

Ran across this on ESPN; a piece inspired by the Detroit Lions' recent change to a "fiercer" logo.
Note Duke among the suggestions/examples. I for one like it! I love Duke, and love the "Blue Devils," but really have never been a fan of our logo. I think it looks dated and kind of hackneyed, as well as weak.

Do you think we should adopt a new, fiercer logo? (Not necessarily this one, but just an updated one.)

The supposedly fiercer Duke logo on that page doesn't look scary to me. It looks constipated.

HAHAHAHA!!! Some of those are hilarious, I love the WKU guy and the Bills' leg breaker. As far as Duke goes, let's just stick with a fiercer mascot for now.

All they did to the Pittsburgh Penguin was give it hockey hair. Classic.
I'm not a fan of "fiercer" logos. It's like adding black to your uniforms when that color is not part of your color scheme. Unfortunately we've already done that at Duke. We have a nice, classic logo that shouldn't be touched.
Examples of "fiercer" logos gone bad:
Denver Broncos
New England Patriots
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (who doesn't miss the creamcicle uniforms?)
Minnesota Timberwolves
Milwaukee Bucks
Pitt Panthers (they've since switched back)
Atlanta Falcons

That's a matter of opinion. I actually like several of the examples you sited as bad ones.

Fiercificated! I just love that word
I also appreciate the new Boston Red Sox logo, although I don't find funny. Hell, yes I do.
Don't care for the constipated Devil. But I do love the new Devil head compared to the old one.

Please forgive my tardiness, I have been away from the internet for a week or two. This weekend is time to play catchup.... so everybody hold on!!! lol
A fiercer Logo for Duke? What can be more fierce than a blue devil?
Perhaps the drunken and abusive demon uncle of the blue devil? :lol:
Oh sure, Tilly's boytoy could have a bit more of a snarl on his face, but that's about it.
The only way the logo could be worse (fiercer) is if it were a RED devil, but that's just not right in sssooooo many ways!!
