News Alert! Atlanta could get a half an inch of snow today/tonight!!! While people are panicking and heading to the grocery store to stock up on food, milk, etc., I know all concerned and excited parties here across the nation will be keeping a close eye and an alert ear on the ATL, the Big A, the Capitol of the South, A-Town, The Dirty South, The Peach City, EarlJam's home.

As a ridiculously but proud lover of the white stuff, EarlJam is monitoring the situation closely and will be providing updates through the day! I know. Calm down now. Hey, really, I'm just having fun, okay? I LOVE snow and especially love the anticipation of waiting for that first flake. All I need is a dusting and I am pleased. But I'd rather have.........well, you get the idea. I know there are many here who are sick of it.

So here we go. Update Number One:

You could come visit the KC area again - we have plenty of snow for you.

Snow in Raleigh (forecast as a dusting) is supposed to start about 8 pm tonight and continue until about dawn tomorrow. The farther east you go, the more you'll get, up to about an inch. I expect I'll see just over a dusting. That's OK, I had my fill of snow for this season in NYC when there for the Gonzaga game.

Saturday morning we might see snow flakes here. In Clearwter. Florida. WTF.

Nothing that will make it to the ground or last, but the cold front and the rain are supposed to arrive at the same time...so there might be some frozen stuff mixed in with the regular rain.

Actually, yes. Was out in the light snow for about an hour. At times I was just standing there, taking it all in. I love snow on a level that is completely insane and irrational. But I am not ashamed. God I love it. I took the dog for a walk earlier and a snow flake fell on his back. It was in a perfect star shape. Amazing. Whenever it snows, all my cares seem to disappear and I feel like I'm six years old again. I know this probably wouldn't be the case if I lived in an area that expected a lot of snow every year, but down here it's always a major event. I love it.

The beach bums are supposed to get our snow after midnight, ending shortly after sunrise. They are calling for an inch or less. If it even looks frosty outside school will be cancelled.

1.5 inches here in John Wall Land.

The snow here in north Atlanta appears to be over for good. We got a dusting, and that's stretching it. Bummer Al. Oh well, the anticipation and watching it fall was fun. Sending the white stuff now to N.C. For all that want it, Good Luck! I truly hope you get it!!!

its probably not worth much. we still don't have many clouds. maybe dukepa and cbab will get some snow. dukepa loves snow.

Greg Fishel, and all those other bastards, are liars! It got warm over night. Nothing but a few drizzles. Not a flake of snow to be seen anywhere around this morning. Ah, well, I saw my snow for the season in NY anyway.

Well, maybe the cold weather they forecast for later today isn't a lie. I just ckecked, and it's 4.8F in Boone, with a wind chill of -12F. That is boo chilly for sure.
