Duke Blue Nation - January 5, 2010 - EarlJam, a 31-year veteran viewer of Duke Basketball, in conjunction with the powers to be at Crazietalk.net, announced today the addition of a new feature called, "BeDeviling the Boxscore" to the site that was created inn 2009 by outlaws and renegades from some other site out there. The per-game poll will seek to draw attention to those Duke players who make tremendous contributions that do NOT show up in box scores but nonetheless add equal value to Duke Basketball results.

The idea for the poll was developed from the back left quadrant of EarlJam's oft-disturbed brain.

"On that other random site, they had a good poll called Man of the Match but I rarely particiapated," said his Majesty. "I just felt like the so called 'Man of the Match' was usually, not always, quite obvious, so why bother with a vote? No disrespect intended, but are you ever going to have a situation where the ninth man off the bench is Man of the Match? With this poll, one play could make the person the 'BeDeviler' of the game. I think it cuts through many more layers of basketball thought.

In addition to the poll, EarlJam will also include a very brief write-up on the game and the candidates listed in the poll, communicating an unbiased farnookle of information for the participant to process. This article will appear on the Front Page with a link to the poll. On the Forum Board, where the poll will exist, participants will discuss their decision just as in normal posts.

"This will be exciting. I have to run some errands now so I must end this post," said EarlJam. "Oh, and don't blast me for any spelling errors. Spell checks are for real work."
