New Years Eve Brunchgate

Post by OZZIE4DUKE » December 26th, 2009, 4:33 pm

Chuck Taylor posted this on the other board. Fortunately he called me to tell me about it, so I'm copying it here.

Thanks, Chuck T. '85
The Brunchgate will commence about 5, only an hour before the game, but enough time to eat some Smithfield's Q and have a couple of beverages B-)

DD, I'll pick you up about 4. Cathy, can y'all get there by 5? VDB and Ima, will y'all be at the game? I'm expecting so. Anyone else going to the game?

I meant to ask with men's game, Tuesday's or Thursday's.

I'll be at the game Thursday, but not sure I can tailgate before hand as I'll be with the band.

We can be there at 5.

Sam is THRILLED to have a chance to see a game in Cameron this year. Thanks to those of you who made this possible (DD, Oz and 8-x ).

OMG I'm a little slow. Just realized the title of this thread noted which game the brunchgate is going to be at. Perhaps my brain is really on vacation.

Hmm, our daughter has a Blue Zone parking pass.

I'm thinking upper lot.

Short walk through WW to CIS.

About 5PM or perhaps a shade earlier.

Smithfield's family pack with 4 buns/rolls and some slaw.

Brunchgate will be in the Gold Zone parking - that is the small lot next to/between the KCenter practice facility, the Schwartz-Butters tower (K's office) and the Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy buildings, and comes up from Science Drive that I/we walk through coming from the Chem lot to CIS. That either completely explains where it is, or totally confuses you. Let me know and I'll describe further if necessary :)

That's even better. Did you get a New Year's Eve upgrade on your silver pass? ;) :D

I have the banner, but not the tent. VDB does have a tent. I'm just not sure it's worth hauling out, especially since they won't be parking in that lot. I think we'll just have to chance the weather.

yea, that would be a bit much to haul the tent to the gold lot. just a suggestion, bullocks bbq if their open. i don't think the bbq is as good as smithfields but they do have a variety of food and fairly quick service. of course the earlier we could get there, the better. that is, if the rain happens.
