With all the food for Christmas, I ask, "What is the best food, drink or other product that enters the body that works as a laxative without actually being labeled a laxative?"
Seriously and really, I just ask because a friend of mine has a certain problem. I will let my friend know of the poll results. Thanks, from my friend, in advance.

Warm Prune juice and stay close to the outlet ... (if you follow me).... that stuff is potent at least for a healthy system! ;) My Dad is a believer in Epsom Salts!

Really? Does it work THAT well? Warm it up and drink like coffee? You know, for my friend. Drink at 100% juice?

Trust me! the system will be flushed in 2 hours! Yep, get the gallon and pour a glass and <the consumer> better be ready for the ride!

I like prunes. I usually have a canister of pitted prunes in the fridge, just in case. Problem is, like the commercial says, are 4 enough, ten too many?
A bowl or three of raisin bran works too.

Cooked onions. Try the sweet or vidalia onions cooked in beef broth. Or some French onion soup.

Our son lives with 3 other guys in DC and the newest roomie has a dog. Someone left a box of Fiber One cereal on the breakfast table a month or so ago. The dog was hungry and ripped apart the box, consuming just about every crumb of the cereal. Each serving has about 10 grams of fiber. There are about 10-12 servings/box. You do the math. When all the young lads arrived home from work that evening, they noticed a most unpleasant odor about their row house and proceeded to discover multiple mounds of
scattered all over their dwelling. I'm surprised the new roomie and his pet are still residents there.
So, it appears that VDB is quite correct about her choice of non-laxative laxative. But I'll bet she only has/recommends one serving/day.
