UNLV ATHLETICS TICKETING OPERATION RESTRUCTURED
LAS VEGAS - In an effort to enhance customer service and incorporate emerging technologies with regard to UNLV Athletics' ticketing operation, the Rebels' ticketing department has been restructured, Interim Athletics Director Jerry Koloskie announced Thursday.
Michael See, who has overseen UNLVtickets, the university's ticketing services organization, for the past eight years, has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Athletics Ticketing and UNLVtickets. He has overseen all e-commerce, call center, retail outlet and regional ticket sales while heading up the UNLVtickets operation.
Emily Eskin, who has served as the Assistant Director of Athletics Ticketing for the last two years, has been promoted to Director of Ticketing for the Rebel Athletic Fund and Athletics Group Tickets Sales.
In addition, the department has hired Susan Schwartz, currently the Assistant Director of Ticketing at the University of Southern California, as Director of Athletic Ticketing Operations. Both Eskin and Schwartz will report directly to See.
As an assistant athletics director, See now reports directly to the athletics director and is a member of the senior staff, a move designed to strengthen the relationships between the ticketing department, marketing department, the UNLV campus and ultimately the local community.
"We are making a strong commitment to making our athletics ticketing department the best in the country," Koloskie said. "Michael’s experience and knowledge of the ticketing industry will help us to better serve our donors, season ticket holders, students and single ticket purchasers, while bringing innovative marketing ideas and ticketing technology to help improve the customer service experience.”
See, a 1994 graduate of UNLV, brings over 20 years of ticketing experience to the UNLV Athletics Department. His experience includes helping to open the MGM Grand Garden Arena Ticket Office in 1993, and also serving as Ticketing Manager for Primadonna Resorts, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and New York, New York Hotel and Casino. See became the Southwest Regional General Manager of Tickets.com in 1999, until returning to his alma mater in the winter of 2002 to design and implement the UNLVtickets Organization as its Director. The Thomas & Mack Center became the first major arena in the country to successfully bring its entire ticketing operation in-house.
Eskin, who earned her bachelor's degree in physical education from UNLV in 2006, joined the Thomas & Mack Center Box Office in 2003, where she worked for five years before being elevated to Assistant Director of Athletics Ticketing in 2008.
Schwartz earned her master's degree from Ohio State University in Sports Management in 2002. In addition to her current position as Assistant Director of Ticketing at USC, she has also served as the Director of Athletics Ticketing at Old Dominion University from 2003-06.
