It doesn't surprise me, but I'm hoping he is "testing the waters" and coming back. Although, if he gets word while he is in the process that he's a top ten pick, I am guessing he's gone. Best wishes either way.

Eh, I wouldn't put too much stock in it. When has an "NBA source" ever said that a kid was going to stay in school? Plus, this is WRAL we're talking about, THE station for tarhole nation. Gerald leaving is a wet dream for them, and they want positive reaction from all the heels that they cater to. He may go, but I hardly see this as definitive. I'll wait for the official announcement.

So, I guess we'll know later today whether we'll have G next year or not. I just keep having this funny feeling that he's gonna stay, and I don't know why. It's just a gut thing. I'm probably wrong though.

My gut is telling me the opposite. So one of us is going to have to get their gut checked out

An interesting thought to ponder: why wait until after the banquet to announce that he's entering the draft? If he had announced last week, would he have been honored along with the seniors? I am asking because I don't know how this has worked in the past. If he's waiting until today, maybe he didn't want to draw attention away from the seniors? I'd like to think that the lack of an announcement up to this point means that he's staying. We'll see, though.

Just saw the link on the official press release on TBTSNBN. He's entering the draft but is not hiring an agent.

Hope he comes back, but if not it will be fun following his career with the other NBA Dukies. He has until June 16th to decide for good.

Supposedly, although Duke has not officially announced it. He signed about a week ago.

I don't know. They've been saying over on DBR that he was GOING to sign with an agent, but that he hadn't yet. That's the last I heard.

I believe buried in his large thread is an announcement that he has signed with an agent (don't know which one) so he is history at Duke.
