For ACC Championship at the Omni.

My God. The difference in the three-point line from pro to college is astonding. The college three-point line cuts between the top of the key and the free throw line!

And Dick Vitale is actually talking about the game only!

And then there's coach Terry Holland's sports coat. My goodness. :twitch:

That was for one year only, IIRC. (Does anyone remember whether it was an ACC line rule or an NCAA line - and does anyone remember the Big East allowing 6 fouls? It's true!)

45 second clock?

I believe it was a 45-second clock. As for the line, not sure if it was the ACC only, but once the NCAA Tournament started, both the shot clock and three-point line were eliminated. That is, they played all NCAA Tournament games in 1983 sans three-point line AND shot clock. The N.C. State / Pepperdine game was absolutely incredible.
