Poll Position

Post by CameronBornAndBred » November 23rd, 2009, 6:42 pm

Here's a fun thread to track us and others in the weekly poll standings.
As of today, we are 7th in both polls, with a #1 vote in the coaches poll. The next team with a number one vote is #2 Michigan State...so that's interesting. I wonder who it is. (I doubt K)

The holes fell to 12th and 11th. HA!

Syracuse at #10 in the AP got a number one vote there too, that's even further apart than Duke's #7 and 1 in the coaches.

I want to be on that board!

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we had Amaker's vote though.

We moved to 6 and 5 in the polls, still with one #1 vote in the Coaches. unc somehow moved up a spot even they barely beat nobody worth mentioning.

That's ok about UNC-CH. Just means the loss(es) this week will be that much sweeter....
And they were 1-1 vs the wolfpack this weekend

So even though they lost (granted to a higher ranked team), UNC managed to move UP a notch in the AP, and stayed the same in Coaches. Gawd how I hate the holes.

They had the Mountaineers by the danglies IN Morgantown, but lost by 1. Shit. I was hoping we'd move up in the polls.

Both 5 (syracuse) and 6(west virginia) lost yesterday, so I woud assume with another strong performance and win tonight, Duke will move to 5.

"Duke will move to 5," I would think likely and maybe pick up some more 1st place votes. This is a very good team and deserves to be top five, IMO. Maybe next time I make it to Derm you can join our tailgate, I'll have to see which other celebs I can line up;)

Until either Kansas, Kentucky and Texas lose, or all have really bad games in the same week, it would surprise me to see us with a #1. I think we are playing well enough that some voter might be thinking about it...but I don't think it happens this week. It would be nice if I'm wrong.
