How can it be time for the final game of the season?

The injuries have really hit our team hard during the month of November, but they continue to play with heart and work hard to prepare for the next game. Wake Forest has had their bumps along the way this season. In some ways this game is not about the standings in the way we had hoped just a few weeks ago, but it's a big game for the team and the seniors in particular. It's time our seniors go out on a win! It would be wonderful to beat Wake finally!!!!!

It's too bad the students will be gone. I think if they were, and if we win, the goal posts would be down. If we beat them we finish with an even record across the board..a really amazing accomplishment. If we lose...I'll take it a fun season, one we made some progress in...but not enough. Cut last year said a team is defined by November, and we were 0-4 last year. Now..we are 0-3 with one more chance. Added to the signifance of the game in those terms is that it IS WAKE. We all know what a heartbreaker the damned deacs have been for us..time to send the downfallen the other way down I-40. GO DUKE!

It appears that the last game of the regular season will fall on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.... regardless of who Duke plays. There's little point in going through the reasons this happens. It just does and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. Students are students first. If they need to go home to see their families for the first long break of the year, so be it. Most of the stadium is available to other people..... maybe we should consider putting our efforts into recruiting people to attend. There are still tickets available..........
