Awww, thanks, y'all! I really appreciate all the well-wishes!
I did have a good day - I was supposed to be in training at work, but it got canceled, so instead, I spent a fair amount of time talking with various coworker friends, and was able to attend a friend's farewell lunch, where the group surprised me with a birthday cake and singing!
Then, Mr. DA took me out to dinner at my favorite fish restaurant (ymm, halibut on a yummy bed of israeli cous cous and fall veggies.) More birthday cake at home for dessert.
We also got engaged on Nov. 20 four years ago, so we celebrated that portion of the day with a tasty bottle of syrah from Fidelitas vineyards near Yakima (we had Fidelitas wine on the night we got engaged, so try and have it for all 'couple-related' events.)

Engaged on your birthday? Wow, hell of a present. Maybe he figured you couldn't say no on your birthday. ;)
Sounds like you had a good day, plus the holes lost..just for you!
