I placed my commentary on the start time on the wrong thread! Just an indication of how I feel about noon starts.....

Think of it this way. After beating Miami this week, having an early game for Wake just means we'll have that much more time for the post-game "we're going bowling" drunken debauchery!

Those noon starts just make my body hurt.

Sign. It's annoying to show up for the Devil Walk 2 hours before a noon kick-off, especially for those of us who drive 2 (or more) hours to arrive in time for the Blue Devil Walk, and not get a quid pro quo in the form of a later start every now and then.
Does anyone know whether the students (other than the band and cheerleaders) greet the team on the main quad part of their Blue Devil Walk?
It's also annoying that as soon as we fall behind in scoring, the students leave Wally Wade. I feel really bad for the team (and the band and the cheerleaders who stick it out each week) when that happens.

The full marching band won't be around on the 28th., but an alumni band will. Maybe Pumpkinfunk can tell us more about what's planned. (That's why seniors in the band were recognized this past Saturday. Took me a couple of seasons to figure out all this.)

Was hoping for a later start as I have to bring my parents to the airport Saturday morning. Granted their flight leaves at 11ish so they have to be at the airport at 10ish. Didn't want to be in too much of a rush that day.
Oh well!!!

"...the students leave Wally Wade." Shoot, not very many ever came into WW. Hell, I swear there were more DUMB members there than students when the game started and probably for the entirety of the game.

We need some "Thank you Thad" and "Thank you seniors" signs to stick in the ground for the Devil's Walk.

Preliminary forecast is for a low of 34 Friday night, a high of 54 on Saturday by the time the frost disappears from the abundant sunshine.
Hmm, that would make a nice final:
Duke 54
deacs 34
I'd settle for half that score:
Duke 27
deacs 17
BTW, no matter what the temps, kerlina can still GTH.

I will be at this game!
P.S. If I do happen to attend Duke next year I will attend (and force every single one of my friends to) EVERY Duke home game that I am on campus for.

Wow, that's kind of surprising that you haven't met them yet!

Car is packed and I'm getting to roll outta town. Stop by wife's work and say goodbye to her, stop by homebrew shop and get supplies for next batches, then hit Durham in time to open a beer and settle in before tip-off tonight.
Make sure y'all dress warm, temps should be right at freezing when I'm setting up in the lots, highs expected in upper 50's. Hopefully it won't be windy tomorrow like it is here at the beach today. GO DUKE!!

It should be nice by game time, but a bit chilly as the morning starts. Anybody have a few coffee thermos's they can bring, full of coffee or hot chocolate? Oops, better post that on the menu thread!
