The new car('68 Firebird) needs to be painted...it's in primer stage right now and still needs some more work(floor pans). It was originally verdoro green(your kind of standard dark greeen). Any thoughts on what color I should have it painted?

Of course Ymo is now a scant hour or so away from the Indianapolis Colts ... a very close shade of blue.
And dare I say it... he's not so far from another close shade of blue too.

Duke Blue, not navy blue. With two white stripes dividing the hood/roof/trunk roughly into thirds, although the center blue stripe will be narrower than the two outer blue sections. The stripes should be about 6 - 10 inches wide each.

as ozzie said, not navy blue. only duke blue. thats what vdb is all about.

Duke Blue, not navy blue. With two white stripes dividing the hood/roof/trunk roughly into thirds, although the center blue stripe will be narrower than the two outer blue sections. The stripes should be about 6 - 10 inches wide each.

The interior is black...stripes were common on the Camaros but not so much on the Firebirds. I wonder if they can match the Pantone #'s, etc. for paint. Of course, Miles noted some issues with Pantone #'s.

Yes, good point, but that may make it easier on a resale basis.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking. I'd make the white stripes about 8 inches, right in the middle of your range.

Anything but Baby (Waaah!) Blue.

Aegena Blue is the factory color that might best suit my purposes...
