The softball was less fun. I watched on time delay. 1-3 in favor of Mizzou. Mizzou treats their pitching more like baseball than other teams. A designated starter; if they have a lead, a designated middle reliever; and if they still have a lead, a closer. The latter collected her 15th save of the season against us yesterday, which ties the NCAA single season record. I hope she doesn't get the chance to try for another. Tomorrow is win or go home for both teams. The game airs at 6:00, but I won't be able to watch it live.

After 8 scoreless innings, Duke plated 4 in the top of the 9th and the Tiggers fell short, only scoring 3 in the bottom of the innings.

On to the Softball World Series where they get to play #1 Oklahoma who beat them 3-0 very early in the season.

Football season started today. Nice run by both diamond teams, looking forward to seeing what each does in the portal. Hopefully we'll have more gains than losses on both fields.

Another enjoyable season…

Both were. I'm looking forward to seeing what the portal action is for both teams. I know of only one exit for softball, and that's Lillie Walker, off to pursue her masters at Baylor. I'm leery of seeing baseball exits, not hosting due to the facilities carries a sting and that applies to players too.
