I totally want to yell "Go Ugo!!!" after he picks one off and heads for the endzone.

Is something shaking in California? Jeff Faris tweeted "CaliFab5" again last night. Duke currently has four California recruits, will Kevin Estes or Frank Buncom be number five?

No surprise that 4* RB Johnny Frasier (Princeton, NC) has committed to Florida State. We need Nyheim Hines (Garner, NC) to select Duke! Running back is the one position left to fill in 2015.

Looking at his offer sheet on Yahoo...see a familiar name as his recruiter from Florida?

Reggie Gallaspy has named his Top 5 and stated he will commit between September and October: Arkansas, Duke, Michigan State, NCSU, Vanderbilt

Gallaspy rushed for 246 yards and three touchdowns last night as Southern Guilford won their season opener 42-7.

No running backs have verbally committed yet with emphasis on the word yet. We are in the mix with four NC running backs. It would be nice to sign two of them:

Johnny Frasier, Nyheim Hines, Bryce Love and Reggie Gallaspy.
There is an article highlighting three of these guys. As you pointed out above, Frasier has committed to FSU. Both Love and Hines have long offer sheets.

Reggie Gallaspy and Ruben Garnett both had huge nights in their season openers.

Thanks for the info.

That's quite a talent, Bob. You got your 330 PM post recorded before your 327 PM post. :-B

T.J. Rahming scored four touchdowns as McEachern improved to 7-2 on the season with a 41-17 win over Harrison. Rahming returned a punt 74 yards for a touchdown on top of three touchdown receptions.

We are stocking up on some serious potential talent at wide receiver. Remember we have two true freshmen who are redshirting, 4 Stars Trevon Lee and Chris Taylor. The incoming class has five wide receiver commits: Rahming, Keyston Fuller (4 Stars), Aaron Young, Flynn Nagel and DePriest Turner plus highly regarded TE Tyler Petite.

With Crowder and Blakeney graduating, there will be fierce competition for starting slots next season. After McCaffrey, I think it will be wide open although Johnell Barnes should nab one of the slots.

T.J. Rahming with six catches for 258 yards and three touchdowns. One of his TD receptions covered 97 yards:

He also returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown. I'm really looking forward to seeing this guy play at Duke.

Any early guesses as to who redshirts and who plays next year? I'll guess Lee and Taylor see lots of snaps as they'll be RS-Fr and the rest'll be wide open. Now, of course, we'll need a QB who can see and deliver accurately to these guys ;) .

I expect a healthy competition at QB come Spring practice. We never saw Sirk throw the ball vertically this year but he did demonstrate accuracy on short passes. Nico Pierre was a highly sought after prospect (and highly rated 4*) before having a subpar senior season. He could be a real good one.

At receiver, I have no idea who is going to play or sit but there are a lot of guys waiting in the wings. Trevon Lee should be at the top of the list of potential new contributors, while T.J. Rahming appears to be a guy too talented to keep off the field. I read somewhere but can't remember where Rahming likes to play slot receiver so he could push McCaffrey for playing time.

TE Tyler Petite has decided to switch from Duke to Southern California :liar: Sucks! Verbals are worth the paper they are written on. :Boo:

Sigh...one of the reasons I really don't follow FB recruiting, just not worth getting too invested in it.

Time for Reeves, Koppenhaver, Beilinson, Schneider and/or Deaver to be big targets next year.

I expect Deaver to be a huge threat in the passing game next year. I was expecting him to be our second leading receiver this year behind Crowder. If his rehab goes well, no reason he will not be a big target for our QB next year.

Yeah, I'm getting rather frustrated with the conclusion of the 2014 recruiting.... it doesn't look like we'll get Hines or Frasier either.

No one will say it, but I think the egg we laid on national TV hurt us.
