When the Rockies made their ridiculous run in 2007 to make the playoffs and then the WS, "Rocktober" was coined by the locate news media and plastered over t-shirts and whatnot. Now it's making its return.

A classic rock station in Raleigh has used this term for years when they have been promoting special events/giveaways/contests or concerts.
