I like pickled beets. The OP canNOT eat chili without a sweet pickle on the side, bless his heart, and I vote for all the pickles you can pile onto my Chick Filet. Just thought you'd all be fascinated to know all that.

Yeah, I don't much care for pickled okra either...it's a fairly common "fancy" garnish in Bloody Mary's, but it's just not my thing.

When I first started eating meals at my girlfriend's house back when we were dating (yes, I'm talking about Mrs. Ozzie) and they ate okra, or okro if you prefer ;) ), I couldn't believe anyone ate that crap. My future MIL even hid it in her vegetable soup. That's still the only way it passes through my lips.

I love it fried and breaded. Seems like it gets a lil slimy when not breaded but I like that also!

That's a good tip on the crunchy aspect, I like it like that and can't wait to taste! You guys are making me hungry! I really love okra in soups and stews, CathyCA makes the best shrimp jambalaya and gumbo! I wonder if the secret to slimeless okra is the breading? Betcha TNT knows if I can't find it on the internet before he replies! ;)

Y'know, 90+ posts about pickles is a pretty clear illustration of why I flippin' love this place.
