No telling. With all the global warming, they don't allow for snow days anymore, so they get tacked on to the end of the year. And they're getting as bad as NC - if it snows anywhere in the eastern time zone, they'll think long and hard about calling the day "just to be safe"...CathyCA wrote:When do they get out of school for the summer?Turk wrote:The young Turks haven't even started school yet. The maroons in charge of this district kick it off next Thurs, so they get two days, and then the Labor Day weekend. Makes no sense at all. Either start next Monday or the day after Labor Day.

Geez! Now I know why you're always beating me, I thought it was spelled geez.Lavabe wrote:I was fourth person in the rotation ... ycch. I wondered about both those issues, particularly number 2. Madagascar just doesn't strike me as a skyscraper country.Lavabe wrote:Oh I sure did, and commented about it as such over yonder.TillyGalore wrote:Casino Royale is on. I didn't realize the big chase at the beginning of the movie was in Madagascar. Now, if I'd seen lemurs I might of known. ;) ;)
NOTE: Technical issue#1: Cobras are not found in Madagascar.
NOTE: Technical issue#2: You think there really are skyscraper construction cranes in Madagascar?
Yes... I was watching it too.
They might not have cobras, but they do have a bunch of cool snakes.TillyGalore wrote:I wondered about both those issues, particularly number 2. I am so craving guacamole right now.CathyCA wrote:I just made some guacamole.
At 8:47 AM? I need to wait until at least 9:00 AM for guacamole.TillyGalore wrote:I am so craving guacamole right now.CathyCA wrote:I just made some guacamole.
I've been up since 5:15 a.m. I think that qualifies for craving guacamole at 8:47 a.m. ;) ;)Miles wrote:At 8:47 AM? I need to wait until at least 9:00 AM for guacamole.TillyGalore wrote:I am so craving guacamole right now.CathyCA wrote:I just made some guacamole.
I could use some guac on a breakfast burrito with some spicy chorizo. MmmmmmmmTillyGalore wrote:I've been up since 5:15 a.m. I think that qualifies for craving guacamole at 8:47 a.m. ;) ;)
You can count me among that group. ;)YmoBeThere wrote:Billy Breen and some others were big fans of Real Genius.
Technical issue #3: Clearly, the chase scene has the free-runner end up in an embassy, which would mean the city would have to be Antananarivo. I saw no Merina people (the ethnic group local to Antananarivo) in any of the scenes.TillyGalore wrote:I wondered about both those issues, particularly number 2.
