The weather here sucks butt, hence my airport delay and my new game.

This morning, it rained as hard as I've ever seen it, and then, all of a sudden....it got worse. #:-s

Supposedly, there's severe weather headed through Atlanta. According to weather.com, there has been a 90% chance of rain since 2:00, and according to the television, a tornado warning has been issued. However, it has yet to rain at all here. It looks a bit menacing out, and is very windy, but nary a drop. :-??

It has finally started raining. Hard. And thundering too. Walter has responded by snuggling up close.

Rain was in and out of here fairly quickly. From the looks of the weather here and the radar image, we just happen to be in the sliver of an area that mostly avoided anything too crazy.

We had nasty storms all afternoon in the varnish zone, with significant lightning.

The 10-day forecast 'round these parts calls for things to get cooler and damper for a while. We're supposed to get 3-4" of rain this weekend. Ugh...although we need it. We're at a three-inch deficit on the year already. Perhaps we'll make it up by Monday.
Anyway, this is payback for the beautiful, springlike sunshine we had in late February. Happens every year.

It's burning hot here, probably a result of the HEAT wave coming from the Blue Devils preparing for their visit to the Dump on the Hump.

There's some really heavy duty stuff passing by across the skies, here at the Rock.

Weather was gorgeous all the way up I-95, from Ft. Lauderdale to Smithfield today. When I got out at the Santee, SC rest stop about 6:30, it was upper 70s with a light breeze and felt just magnificent! Perfect golf weather! I almost wanted to sit out on a bench there for a few minutes and enjoy it for a few minutes, but I got back in the car and hit the road instead.

Oh, I'm home now. B-)

Here in St. Louis, the temperature dropped 20 degrees between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. :-o

They are talking about the possibility of snow Saturday night. I have plants popping out of the ground. I don't want any more snow or cold weather, thank you very much.
