And why, on the night of my merciful return to Atlanta, are all of my friends so damned busy?

Sure is nice to have Walter all snuggled up next to me, though. He's definitely happy to have Dad home.

One very unpleasant development: My brother did me the wonderful favor of setting up my TV in my room, hooking up the cable, etc., but I can't remember where I packed the remote. Makes for a much less enjoyable viewing experience.

Luckily, though, 'The Silence of the Lambs' is on. Watching this without any flipping is totally palatable.

Which is precisely what I'm doing right now...I'm about two months' worth of exhausted at this point.

I don't. I just don't get it.
Maybe you can explain for me the meaning of NBA basketball or NHL hockey. Both sports have done a serious job at losing this former fan.

Perhaps it's Stern and Gary Bettman.

Oh yeah, and MLB has done a good job at losing me as a fan.
Can't help ya. Never watch the NBA nor the NHL. MLB has me too pissed off with the roids. Now my favorite NFL team hired a scumbag. Guess it's just college bball and football for me this year.

Redbox is a machine at your local Harris Teeter (or local variant) that rents out DVDs for $1 a night. It even has the latest releases. If you don't return it the next day it just keeps charging you $1 for each extra night you keep it.

I got home ok. Katie just had a meltdown going to bed. Now it's time to relax.

I'm glad you're home safe. I'm sure a good night's sleep in her own bed will do wonders for Katie's disposition.

I refuse to read the seemingly 800+ pages I missed. Ok maybe not 800 but you get the idea. Maybe 799.
