My drivers didn't qualify at all well this week.

Well, Jamie Mac beat Blech in the Nationwide race last night. At least Blech isn't on a streak or anything. 8-|

Both of those are interesting choices and available. I actually already had Jamie Mac in my lineup!

And Kasey Kahne loves the Atlanta track.

Rocketman seems to have the best car early on. The only one having difficulty so far is Mark Martin, who is the focus of a lot of TV attention as he loses places.

Kyle is in the lead. Kurt Busch is falling back steadily from 11th at the start, to 28th place now.

Blech suffers from a speeding penalty in the pits. He goes from 1st to 23rd. This is early on... he'll work his way back up to the top.

SO... it's Smoke in the lead.

I wish the race would end now; I believe my four choices are all in the top 10.

Guess which one of the two I picked :(

Blech gets a vibration early and has to pit early. He now falls back to 36th. His brother is not terribly far in front of him. Both are now one lap down. Still early, what with lucky dogs and wave arounds.

Smoke, Hamlin, KK, JJ, Bowyer, Rocketman, Truex, Biff, Edwards, Harvick all racing well and steady.
Jeff Burton, MM, Kurt Busch, and Blech NOT doing well. Of these, Blech may be able to move up.

In C list driving, Menard(8th) and 'dinger(10th) are doing well... FOR NOW.

80 laps done.

CAUTION LAP 111: Hamlin out of the race/spinning out. 2nd Yellow flag (first was debris).

By the way, BLECH gets to move up to the lead lap. Watch out for him. He is on fire.

Smoke & Edwards interchanging the lead now, with Truex, Harvick, and JJ battling well. Biff & JPM & KK battling behind them. Menard & Dinger still racing well.

STILL no hope for MM & Kurt Busch.

DANG... my selection of Biffle just went kablooey, as Biff is knocked out. Big front damage. Back in the garage. Guess I SHOULD have selected Kurt Busch after all.

Sadler has more serious damage after Biff tagged him. VERY lucky that not more were hit. Looks like Biff slammed into Rocketman, setting off everything.

Bowyer and Harvick had to come into the pits just before this for minor issues, but should have the wavearound after Biff's accident.

Looking like Blech is going to finish well.

at 158 laps, Kurt Busch is on the lead lap.

About 120 laps to go, David Ragan's left front goes down, bringing on the caution. Unfortunately for a number of us, Menard sounds like he's lost a cylinder. LOTS of engine issues tonight, including Hamlin and Logano. TV coverage wonders if it's just a matter of time before Blech's Gibbs' Toyota follows suit.

After the pit stops, Smoke still leads, but get ready... MM is now in the top 10! JJ and Edwards are hanging tough.

C list racing leader is Dinger, followed by Speed.

70 laps to go: Harvick blows a tire, panel, and fender. Caution.

Edwards in front. Looks like one more scheduled pit stop needed. Smoke is racing sharp. Truex has been holding his own in 6th or so place. Jr may finish well. MM has a good pit crew, who gains him spots, but he just can't keep up with everyone. Bowyer is running a safe race. He just wants to be out there, and not behind the garage.

With about 57 laps to go, Speed's engine blows, bringing out the caution just BARELY after the restart from the previous caution. At the same time, Menard pulls his car in with very little power remaining. So once again, Dinger looks like he'll win the battle of the C listers. Hornish may move up to 2nd on the C list, assuming he holds on to finish the race.

Edwards 1st. Blech in 3rd. He and Truex barely touched, but were able to hold on. Smoke is having trouble on restarts.

I've only got three starts left with Dinger so I decided to leave him on the bench tonight and went with Menard instead. Fuck.

OMG... KURT BUSCH STAYED OUT during the caution... HE HAS THE LEAD (at least for now).
