Carolime (draft)-Heist Brewing

Local? Close enough.

Credit-one of 3 featured taps Wednesday at Bottle Rev
Style-flavored gose
Format-$10/32 ounce mini growler divided over 2 nights
Stemware-white wine glass
Appearance-filtered lemonade with a big fizzy head
Nose-limeade!!
Mouthfeel-mild bitterness
Tastes-mild sweetness, more sourness, salt, lemon/limeade; hint of spice
Adjuncts-sea salt, coriander, lime juice and lime zest
IBU-couldn't be >10
ABV-4.1%
Overall impression-a hidden gem/treasure; I think the zest adds a lot here; I think it's available in pint cans (so we can squander more $$ and aluminum )
Ymm, Beer rating-low cat 3; might not be as good as Westbrook's Key Lime Pie Gose but it's in a nearby zip code; very refreshing

Pour-faintly cloudy dark amber; foamy, lacy head
Nose-dark, dried fruits, brown sugar and a "secret" ingredient I had to research
Mouthfeel-smooth and a bit syrupy
Tastes-complex, including raisins, dates, figs, dark caramel, earthy hops, vanilla, wood and dark cherries (see adjuncts)
Adjuncts-"Cherries are added to make up for the “angel's share” of beer lost during barrel aging." (yes, please!!)

Finally, the "other" Stella:

Stella Artois-Stella Artois (InBev) Brewery

Credit-found in back of fridge, leftover from some guests, and it "appeared" to have my name on it
Style-"imported lager beer"
Format-11.2 ounce aluminum shortage-instigating can

Numbers on bottom of can-18/04/21 4500:55
Appearance-clean/clear light yellow with a fizzy and foamy head
Nose-flowers and corn
Mouthfeel-fizzy
Tastes-floral Euro hops, some corn syrup, Wonder bread
IBU-probably 20
ABV-5%
Overall impression-wouldn't touch this stuff from a green bottle but from a can, it was a classic lager
Ymm, Beer rating-upper cat 2; a Euro lager night would be interesting with this, Trumer Pils and Pilsner Urquell
