Good morning! A lovely day to rock the colors in the Pacific Northwest.
FIL has a hospice assessment next week. He has Parkinson's (the Alhzeimers acting kind, not the shaky kind) and heart disease and just doesn't want to live any more, and he is dragging MIL down with him.

Hospice is wonderful. Those people are angels. I think that once hospice steps in, your MIL won't feel so overwhelmed.lawgrad91 wrote:Good morning! A lovely day to rock the colors in the Pacific Northwest.

It may be none of my business, but have you all explored the possibility of getting some happy pills for MIL? They might make her feel better.

Re: The Official "Good Morning" Thread
The caregiver is trying to get hospice to come earlier for assessment. FIL is fading. Hospice would be a blessing. It took a while last night to get middle daughter to see it as a good idea, though.CathyCA wrote:Hospice is wonderful. Those people are angels. MIL takes a minimal happy pill but probably needs a stronger one.

LG, what a difficult time. Cathy's right - Hospice is staffed by angels. Sending warm thoughts and virtual hugs in your direction.

Good morning. MIL spent the night at the nursing home. Haven't heard from her this morning.
With MIL gone, I am in charge of Amigo the chihuahua. Guess who had half the bed last night....
