Just to bring this thing full circle, here's my own Battle of Hastings post. I've got the anglo-saxon coloring/looks but the name is supposedly a basterdized version of something Norman. I won both ways! (And it took place on my birthday.)

Here's our scoop!

Offensive tackle Matt James committed to Duke. 6-7, 290 lbs, with offers from Florida, Penn State, Notre Dame and Ohio State among many others.

This is a HUGE get for Coach Cut and Duke football! And for "the Seans" (Renfree and Schroeder) and the running backs!

and also, have you completed that post card, taken it to the Post Office with certified return/receipt and called all the other schools to thank them very much for their consideration? I mean IT IS now 8:18pm, .... ;)

I have NOT stopped beaming from ear to ear!!! This is by far the best day of my life.

I have to wait until I get the letter in the mail before I can complete the post card! The other schools, I'm not withdrawing quite yet.
