Apparently Trump is on some kind of bizarre Twitter tear tonight. I'm not on it, and if I were, I wouldn't follow him, but I've seen enough folks posting that I know this is even beyond his "norms".
This is from a professor of mine in art school; it sums up what I'm seeing pretty well.
Since returning from Walter Reed,
@realDonaldTrump
has tweeted that Americans can't have COVID relief unless they elect him; that he's working on getting Hillary Clinton and FBI agents from the Russia investigation indicted; understand, would mean the end of his social-media presence; and retweeted a person named Paul Sperry 22 times. Paul Sperry is described on Wikipedia as "an American conservative nutjob author and political commentator. . . . Sperry has previously been the Washington Bureau Chief at Investor's Business Daily and WorldNetDaily. Around the office, he was known as the guy who farts a lot."
Around 7:30 pm he switched to retweeting Gregg Jarrett, another brazen liar, a raging alcoholic arrested several times for disorderly conduct, and Fox commentator whose opinions on law have been nearly universally condemned as "misleading," nonsense" and "blatant falsehoods."
So: "working hard on behalf of the American people."
The press still insists on covering this as poor campaign strategy rather than as evidence of the worst instance of mania in a President since the beginning of the republic. He is dangerous and will get more dangerous. Everyone around him knows it. They're paralyzed.

I wish Schoolhouse Rock had done a bit on the 25th Amendment, I'd send it to my Senators (yes I know the Cabinet does it, but I was hoping there might be some sane Republicans somewhere in D.C.). Maybe they'd understand it in those terms.

Their paralysis is self-imposed. They refuse to step up, so whatever he does is theirs. Harris needs to pound that theme tonight: Mr. VP, *YOU* are actively responsible for a President who re-tweets garbage from the White House.

Question: Does the Senate Judicial Committee have to meet in person? Because if 2+ Rs can't show up due to COVID, won't the Ds not show up and deny them a quorum?

That's a possibility.

OY I made a post about how women would feel about mansplaining, noting that my wife commented on it (and I noticed it) and the esteemed Mattman said that it isn't a thing, basically insulting my wife in the process. I should have let it go but fought back and got dinged for it. Oh well. People like him are what is wrong with this country - just because you haven't experienced something doesn't mean that it isn't a problem. To heck with him.

Watching the video of Trump saying he already "feels perfect." OMG.

Oh, there was definitely mansplaining going on. I thought future VP Harris handled it very well. In fact, at one point I laughed at her womansplaining back to him!
