I have really learned a lot from Tilly (last year's champ), Ymo (the founder of it all), colchar, Miles, Knights, the non-CTN regulars, and even Bones (word to self, do NOT pick MM 9 times in a row). Two quick questions:

1) Tilly: Now that I won the season championship, what is the official terminology to place in my signature?
2) Must get more folks into this league next year.

I'm honored you asked. Your the champ you can put in whatever terminology you want. I think my signature read "2008 DBR Fantasy NASCAR Champion." You could put in "2009 Lemur Loving NASCAR Champ." "No lasers were used to win this title." Couldn't resist. ;) ;)

I don't care how many ways you could debate it, but I will never buy that a NASCAR driver is an athlete..I barely buy that most golfers are. Anyways...somebody at Yahoo sports seems to think otherwise.

NASCAR has its share of Jeff Burton's, but I think every sport has its share of tub o' goo's.

I can recall different Crazie chants that reflect this:
Hey, hey, hey! (a la Fat Albert)
Casey Sanders, Colonel Sanders...
Please don't eat me! Clap, clap, clap-clap-clap!

Baseball? Ycch!!! Too easy to spot out of shape folks.

And with that, I now have a signature. :-bd

FWIW, Kurt Busch was a dork after the race. Nice finish for him, but he couldn't resist, and he took a few swipes at his pit crew chief. He made a dig at him for the last pit stop, in which they changed just two tires instead of four. KB said it probably cost him the race, and that he knew he was throwing the guy under the bus.

Nice guy...

NOT!! :-q

I had a lot of fun learning something new and I'm glad I got the opportunity to play. I'll definitely be in next year and promise not to move cross-country midway through the season. Congrats Lavabe.

Thank you! I totally agree. "We're first in class" my a$$. You're not classy by claiming yourself to be first in class then throw your crew chief under the bus, and admit that is what you're doing. Oh, and in the next breath say you'll get someone better for next year. No wonder his crew chief is leaving.

Stay classy, a$$hole!!*

The buschs never fail to give me more things to hate about them. JERKS!

*Tilly recognizes that by including that line in her post, she loses any claim to classiness.

Ymo: Think you could make it down to watch next year's Daytona 500?

Whoops... wouldn't that belong in the NASCAR 2010 thread?

It's quite possible, I will probably go to the Indy 500 in May. If others are interested...in Daytona or Indy.

Yes... in Lexington, KY... assuming there's no ice on the roads. ;)

The Quattro All-Wheel Drive gives me enough false belief in my ice driving abilities to drive any time, any where.

You should ask those 'over yonder'....Oh yeah. I forgot. You live there. :twitch:
Surely some Mildcat fan could answer this query.

Quite obviously he was robbed of the honor. On my flight out to PHX this week, I sat next to a woman from Lexington. I didn't tell her where I went to school(not that I normally tell people anyway). She was annoying enough as it was.

Was she wearing one of those annoying "UK2K" shirts? :-q
