65 laps to go: CAUTION
On the restart, JJ slams into Newman. LOTS of damage to JJ. Newman is out. Hornish got nailed as well, but has damage only to his left front.
WOW!!
Awful!

25 laps to go
Truex is 3 seconds in the lead ahead of ... Jeff Gordon.
Hamlin falls back to 3rd.
If JG finishes this high, this should just about seal colchar's lead for the season.

5 laps to go: CAUTION
Jamie Mac blows a tire.
This means a green-white-checker ending.
Truex will have to come in to pit, and so will most people.
Truex had a 3 second lead, and had enough to last BARELY to the end.
This means they must get fuel and 4 tires.
Hamlin, Truex, JG, Harvick, Kes, Kenseth on the restart.

I was at a BBQ this afternoon and, since it lasted until about 3am, I didn't get to see any of the race at all.

Basically, the following drivers will be racing to win next time, in order to get into the Chase: Newman, Edwards, and Blech. Smoke needs to win so that he finishes in the top ten. If he falls outside the top ten, he gets no Chase points for any wins. Kahne is basically locked into the Chase. Logano and Ambrose are also going for another win; they might squeeze in only if they win.

If you think Talladega is a giant roulette wheel, Richmond will be even CRAZIER!!

Atlanta was a series of four cars alternating domination: Hamlin, Blech, Harvick, and Truex.
Ford sucked.

Basically colchar, you won this week. Congrats!!! You now have something like a 280 point lead over me. #-o
I lead Ymo by 44 points, and he is some 80 points ahead of lawgrad, who is 100 pts ahead of Iowa. Tilly trails Iowa by 39 pts. Miles is 98 pts further behind, and knights trails him by 300 pts.

In other news, Office Depot is leaving Stewart Haas Racing and the primary sponsorship of Smoke.

I need to make my picks for this week...can I be next in line to borrow our roulette wheel? Or should I just use the dart board method that I use for 'Dega?

They're racing at Richmond... after a long rain delay.
Lap 42 of 400
Jr led all but one lap (JG). JG is falling back big time.
Hamlin, KK, Truex seem to be racing well. Smoke and JG are not.
Competition Caution at Lap 46 (everybody will come in to report how the track is, after the rain.

Lap 137 CAUTION: Raindrops keep falling on my head!
All into the pits. Coming out, it's still Hamlin and Jr.
The race can't be official before the halfway mark.

50 minute red flag is over... they are racing!!
Bad news... looks like more rain will be coming. There's a city noise ordinance, and there's rain coming. They are racing as if it's a 200 lap race.

Jr takes the lead on the restart.
But two laps later, Hamlin retakes the lead, and JJ takes second.
Jr is falling back!!
