It's still early, but at this point, I have to alert everyone that colchar is praying for an end to the race immediately. So far, his picks are: 1,2,3,4.

At this point, I wonder when he says that he wishes he had chosen someone he left on the bench.

When I last checked all of my starters were in the top ten so I'll take it as I need a win like this. My problem this year has been a lack of consistency. I've won a few races (not nearly as many as last year) but the weeks when I don't win my picks absolutely suck. Last year I always seemed to have good picks even if I didn't win that week. This year I am either very good or absolutely awful with relatively few second or third place finishes and you simply cannot win this pool, nor do well in it, if you are not fairly consistent. Those second and third place finishes can make a huge difference in how one finishes in this thing.

You have REALLY good picks today, but we'll see what happens now. KK avoided Cassill BARELY, but spun a little in the grass. No major issue, except if the splitter got broken or clogged with grass. He'll have to come in. Kurt Busch seemed to get the most grass, and his engine temp started zooming.

That was probably the most left turns I've watched this year, but I watched the last 30 laps. Impressive run by Gordon for second.

Duchess Tilly Galore beat me by 5 points and won this week's competition. Congrats to the Duchess!!

The standings have tightened up a bit. I have overtaken knights, but by a mere 11 points. Ymo trails knights by 99 points. Usul holds fourth place, some 162 points behind Ymo, but it looks like Usul will soon start running out of the allotment of selections for Harvick, Ambrose, Burton, and Smith. Tilly has closed the gap with Usul, trailing Usul by 112 points. colchar is 148 points behind Tilly.

Next up: Back to Pocono, and then ...

THE GLEN!!

Carl Edwards stays at Roush-Fenway Racing. According to ESPN, Ford's decision to get involved with the process kept Edwards from going over to Joe Gibbs Racing.

Kes got into a nasty accident, hitting a wall while testing at Road Atlanta. He is supposed to race on Sunday at Pocono, but who knows?
