And i though mush was what the sled dogs did in the Iditarod.

Frailed was the last new word I learned in court.

"When I told her at least my daughter didn't run around the trailer park with her boobies hanging out, she frailed me with her cane."

Good morning! ~O) ~O)

CathyCA and lawgrad, please team up and write a book. It would be hilarious! It would also make a funny TV show. Some of your stories remind me of the Appalachian ER skit that used to be on SNL.

Good morning!

Actually, I wrote a short story last night based upon my adventures in court yesterday. (Yup. Friday night fun at CathyCA's house. Let's write a short story!) I need to tweak my story a bit before it can go public. I need to change a few names and identifying details in order to protect the identity of my client and others who appear in the story. My experience was just too rich, and I needed to put it on paper while the details were still fresh. I couldn't make up a story as good as the one that played out in real life before my eyes.

In many ways, practicing law in assault court is a lot like substitute teaching in a kindergarten classroom. The maturity level of the participants is similar.

Can't wait to read it! :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue:

It is often the case that truth is stranger (and far more hilarious) than fiction.

Good morning!

If we tried to write a book of court stories, people would believe they were fiction. :9f:

Played the best I've played in 2+ years, shot an 81! My partner, unfortunately, didn't play up to his normal game, so we didn't win any Calcutta money today, although I did win skin which has paid for the Calcutta! So if we can win anything tomorrow it's all profit! :-BD

Interesting side note: playing in the other twosome team in our foursome was the great grandson of William Few! He's a lifelong Duke fan but did not go to Duke. He may show up as a guest at a TB'CC tailgate this fall. B-)

I used to practice law with Bill Few when I lived in Raleigh. Is this Bill's son?

Must be the other side of the family. His last name is Johnson. He is a police detective here in town.

Good Morning! ~O)

Back from 2 weeks in Indiana. They have been hit hard by this drought and the corn crop is a disaster.

I'd be willing to share the rain I'm gettin' today with any drought area folks. I've got plenty o'shit I need to get done 'round these parts in the great outdoors. When I/if I, ever make it to retirement, it's gonna take an order from Heaven to make me have to do anything out in the rain or snow.
Don't let that get y'all down. Have a great and dry day. :twitch:
