OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Dinner will be a beautiful 14 oz. NY Strip, grilled to perfection, medium rare. I think I'll have fries (crispy) and a salad with Russian and tangy tomato dressings mixed. And a few Bud Lights before and after!
Have you tried the Tangy Tomato and Bacon dressing from Kraft (I think)? It's freaking delicious.

I'm going to get coffee and some sort of pastry now. Two books today, to put me at 16 on the week (and over the 4000-page barrier). Then, I'm not doing shit until Monday morning. College football all day today, then I'll be in attendance for Falcons-Panthers tomorrow.

Breakfast: fresh strawberries, vanilla yogurt, and granola, plus the requisite 2 cups of coffee. (As an aside, I finished off the icky Folger's earlier this week and am now drinking Dunkin' Donuts Coffee. Much better!)

No breakfast, doing Brunchgate. This will be much better than my usual yogurt. :)

Will report back later on Brunchgate.

Lunch was a concoction of hot dogs, chili, veggies and cake.
I want to give a shout out to my chef for last night's dinner, VDB made a great chicken and vegetable soup and cornbread that I happily had seconds of. She's a great cook. :chef:

Chances are strong to quite strong that I'll have nachos, but I'm also meeting up with some tailgating friends beforehand. I'll report back.

Took a young Turk and one of her running buddies to Cheeburger Cheeburger tonight. I had a "Serious" burger (10 oz pre-cooked), medium, with provolone, garlic, sauteed onions, roasted red peppers, and mayo. (next time I might swap out the red peppers for something with a bit more crunch), fries, mango iced tea.

A lot more kitsch and a lot more choice at Cheeburger compared to Five Guys (maybe TOO much kitsch and TOO many choices?!?). The burgers are a toss-up because they both use good meat grilled fresh, but I'll give a slight preference for Cheeburger because they use a single patty regardless of size, compared to the Five Guys double-slider style. I need to find an excuse to go west young man and eat me some In-and-Out and see how that compares...
