According to Arkie in a previous post:

Found out a bit more about the position at UTMB-Galveston. As you may recall, they came up with a job specifically for me and posted it with a salary that matches my current level. Job description was such that I'm probably the only person in the country that was qualified.

I think we have the answer :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue: :happy-bouncyblue:
I went to grad school in Missouri. I'll believe it when I see it. You have to show me. ;) :D
Extremely important point: have offer and terms in writing before giving notice and starting the pack up. Until then, fly under the radar.

YEAH!

Not only a raise but the satisfaction that you leave your current position with your integrity intact and the knowledge that they have no clue how much they will miss you. PHB will live to regret the day he didn't follow your lead.

Did everything go okay with telling the grant applicant?
What happens with the abstract?
How did the download go? ;)
How much time passed between receiving word of the offer and your acceptance?

Arkie: Create a spreadsheet, and document EVERY FREAKIN' EXPENSE in your move, including expenses you incur before, during, and after the move. CONSULT with a tax person! Find out what you can and can't use for tax purposes. :-B
