It's much warmer here in Smithfield tonight than it was in Secaucus this morning, or in DC this afternoon when I stopped for a pit stop...

Temp wise, not much difference here (home) then we left NY it was about 35 degrees. Here, 36 degrees. It was snowing. Here, of course the sun is shinning, makes it better.

:O3 Harley just got home. We sure missed him. We're happy to be home. Love to go to NYC....but.....love to come home. :9f:

28 degrees on the deck. It's always colder there. Also, about 2 1/2 in. of snow on the deck rail, north side. This must have been a decent snow. :9f:

We got our first dusting of snow today. Some areas got hit pretty good but we got less than an inch here. Regardless, I hate snow so fuck it - I'm gonna go visit my mother in law until spring!

Definitely snowy in Banner Elk. All you skiers with 4WD vehicles get moving!

On the down side, Ozziedaughter's apartment building's pipes froze overnight. First time it's ever happened in the building. She doesn't know if they burst or just froze. She just knows they have no water this morning, and doesn't know when they will. Fortunately they bought a large jug of drinking water for Ruthie the other day. Oh, she's getting her third tooth, this one on top! So now she's Three Toothie Ruthie!

On the western edge of the Piedmont, the current temperature is 26 degrees. The high is not likely to reach freezing today. Gusts of cold wind and low humidity make it feel like 15 degrees or so. brrrr......... @-)

The situation is improving!
Situation is better than they feared. The landlord called and told them something leaked overnight below them and he had to turn them off. They're working on it. So, they're just waiting.

I've got to bring this thread back up to the top again. Snow is falling here currently at the rate of 2 inches per hour. The first flakes were falling before noon, but the heavy stuff started closer to 6 or 7P. What's coming down is very fine, but it's piling up for quite a Christmas scene! :happy-bouncyblue:

The snow here started about 1/2 ago, I think, not much yet. Dana lives about 15 miles, almost in Person Co. (Roxbobo), it was snowing at her house around 3:00.

First white Christmas in Raleigh since 1947. Yea, it's kinda late and not much is sticking but it's white and it's really, really pretty.

Looking forward to maybe 8-12 inches here in New Jersey. I'd love to take Katie out sledding tomorrow or Monday.

Not a single flake here yet, but Greg Fishel still says we'll get 6 to 10 inches here in Smithfield tonight and tomorrow morning. You folks up in the northeast are going to get a blizzard out of this storm.
