It is the rooftop to one of our local bar and grills, Captain Ratty's. They also have a large wine cellar, but it is hard to paint in the dark. ;)
And harder if you have cracked a few bottles before starting? After all, you want to be sure the wine is of a quality worthy of painting.

Wow! To me, it looks like the end of rough times with cool peacefulness just after the flames. I love how the blue draws you into the painting.

We are heading down to New Bern next weekend for a private showing with CathyCA. Anyone interested in joining us? Of course, it won't be so private then 8-| . Yea, I'm looking at you allenmurray...

The gallery is closed on Sunday...in fact most of downtown is. The gallery is open 10-5, Tuesday - Saturday. I don't know why, but galleries hate Mondays, kind of like dentists hate Fridays. (All of us hate Mondays, but not so much that we don't go to work.)

A lot of Broadway shows are "dark" one day a week, too. I'm thinking it's Mondays. I don't know why either. :think:
