Congratulations to the Baylor Lady Bears on Winning the National Championship ! A perfect 40 - 0 season! The Final Four for the Women provided exciting games with the top #1 seeds. To all the coaches and team players from Baylor, Notre Dame, Stanford and UConn, you made the Final Four and very enjoyable to watch all 3 games!

Looking forward to our Women's Duke Basketball team to be stronger, more experienced and talented next season, with the return of Richa, Chloe and Amber!

Tip for potential shoplifters: when caught attempting to steal, it may seem smart to leave the premises, but in most cases it isn't. If you do leave the premises, it is REALLY STUPID to leave your government-issued photo ID. (This is the same clerk that, in my earlier case, identified the stolen shoes on the defendant's feet at his trial for the shoe theft. One would think our crooks would know by now not to steal at that shoe store.)

If you're going to shoplift or steal, why would you bring IDENTIFICATION with you? DUH!

Actually, there are expensive things at Best Buy, but they also have hundreds of cameras and security devices in that store. Why on earth would someone try to shoplift knowing that his or her every move was being recorded?

Walmart is as high-end as it gets in Henry County.

Several years ago, the local Walmart in the varnish zone lost $400,000 due to theft in one year.They have since installed a better camera system and hired and trained more asset protection managers. And someone got the bright idea of giving us a copy of the program for the video system so people can watch themselves steal on beautiful HD in the courtroom. Theft has gone down.
