Spoke too soon. Coming off a yellow, Hamlin (in the lead), tried guarding the inside lade against JPM. JPM was there in a bump draft from JJ. Hamlin (thought he was clear) tapped JPM, went skidding, and hit the pit wall. Hamlin's out. No major damage to JPM.

Hamlin admitted it was his mistake.

With 57 laps to go, the order is now: JPM, JJ, MM, Harvick, Gordon, Kurt Busch.

Fuel MIGHt be an issue.

Red flag with 6 laps to go. Two accidents in the last 10 laps.

1st accident: Kurt Busch got loose, hit the wall, bounced back into Kahne, who spun with Biffle behind him. Both got back out, but were essentially out of the run.

On the restart, Busch was still smoking.

2nd accident: BIG chain reaction accident. Dinger out, Kahne nailed, Biffle hit, Jr out, Sadler out, Burton out, Sorenson out. Maybe a couple of others out. Richard Petty's 4 cars are out.

It's JJ, Gordon, Martin, Montoya with the four best cars.

Just the bonuses (qualifying, laps led).

Correction: Jr is running again. So is Biff.

IIRC, you cannot get ANY points for a driver if you have used up your allotment of 9 selections for that driver. For example, if I now put Kurt Busch on the bench (I just used up my 9th race with him) in the next race, I get zero points for him, no matter if he grabs the pole.

You might be right. We both had Dinger and JJ. It was the B drivers where I made up ground: Kurt Busch and Montoya. I believe that was the last time I choose Busch. I still have Montoya in another race or two.

Just remind me NEVER again to select DINGER... I jinx it for him nearly everytime.

Clarification: Due to the Reutimann snafu in qualifying, qualifying points were adjusted. Reutimann no longer scored points for qualifying.

FWIW, Gililand finished in two positions today. Now THAT'S freaky.

Sure that makes sense, but I only got 6 points this week as compared to 320 and that's not because of ineligible drivers. You got 4 compared to 330, Tilly 3 to 285. Maybe Yahoo is not done tallying up the points?

That is 100% correct. You have to give them a little time to tally.

I mean Dinger may be bad this week, but I should get SOMETHING for choosing him (other than a headache). :D
