That's more disgusting than when we lived in Augusta, Georgia.

Ick. It's been miserably hot in St. Louis, but any time I'm ready to complain I pull up the website for one of the Little Rock stations to see how hot it is there. Usually it's at least 10 degrees hotter in The Rock than in St. Louis. They've been getting hammered this summer.

Some of the hardest rain I've ever seen, beginning in Longs, SC, going south and continuing, off and on, throughout the night in Myrtle Beach.

85 and less humid here at the Jersey shore. Thin overcast and a slight breeze. Perfect weather for an evening of boardwalk food and rides.

Yes, you do have a witness. That storm was a big one. We just got back from MB this afternoon and happy to be home. Nine days there is too long.

We got a total of 3/4 in. of rain while we were gone. :(

I think we've had about 3 inches in the last 3 hours.

We got 2.5-3.0 inches of rain in the last 24+ hours, depending on what source one consults. Our deficit is now about 6.5 inches for the year. Of rain, that is, for you folks with minds in other places. I believe we will get another 1-2 inches (more?) based on some forecasts I've read for the next 36 hours or so. We were nearing drought conditions. This was quite a relief. For those at the coast who might get more wet stuff, send any extra you have/get to the Triangle area, please.

If anyone wants a free pet it's been raining cats and dogs all night and morning here at the beach.
