Joannie Rochette skating in exhibition to Celine Dion.

I don't like Celine Dion in English. Now I know I don't like her singing in French.

Joannie gets the Terry Fox Award for showing detrmination, courage, and humility.

Exhibition skating is putting me to sleep. It's no fun without the pressure of competition.

Pluschenko skating ... still whining, but now he's skating to some sick French song called "I am Sick." How appropriate!

That would be Meryl Davis and Charlie White, the US Champs and Olympic Silver Medalists in ice dancing. And, I must agree, that rendition of "Billie Jean" is pretty awful.

Too bad, right? Meryl and Charlie are great, and of all the songs they could've skated to, they chose that. Their skating was stellar, as usual, but the music was icky.

And someone suggested speed skating shouldn't be counted. It's amazing the effect the judges had on this event, but I don't believe it suprises me.

The difference is that in events like speed skating the judge/referee might influence the outcome whereas in events like figure skating they definitely determine they outcome.

Canada is currently third in total medals with 25 but is first in gold medals with 13 (currently tied for the most golds ever in a winter Olympics).

Please tell me you're joking. Anything they ever recorded should be destroyed for the betterment of humanity.

That was a bizarre exhibition. Even though Davis/White had an awful music selection, I liked their exhibition better.
