I beg to differ. Giles House is the best choice among the dorms! It was named for the three Giles sisters, first women enrolled and graduated from Trinity/Duke in 1878.

Aycock House was named for former NC Governor Charles B. Aycock. Its twin, Jarvis, was named for former NC Governor Thomas J. Jarvis.

For those interested in Wilson House, it was named for Dean Mary Grace Wilson.
Good points, but BD still wants Aycock...  :)) =))
That's all well and good. I'd pick Giles. I'm a Giles girl! ;;) ;;) ;;)

I'll repeat my support for that option here, too.

Section 17 was one of my votes, but I do like Section 21 better.

How many infraction points if this discussion occurred over yonder? :ymparty:
Probably one for inappropriate content.

Unless you're a moderator.

Then it's funny/overlooked.

When we remodeled our chapter room in 1975, we named it in honor of Dr. Robert S. Rankin, a brother in Phi Kappa Psi. So I vote for Robert S. Rankin. Well, not really.

Seriously, as much as Windsor and several other of the lovelies of CTN were residents of Aycock, and LOVED to chant their favorite cheer wanting an A, Y, C..., I say give it to them! =)) =)) =)) Ummm, not really.

I'd vote for Section 17 from all the names above. Really. :D
So you have already named a room Bob.

We're naming it Grace's Cafe before we name it either of those.

What do you have against poor little Trent. Stuck on the edge of campus, a lowly Freshman Coed dorm my Freshman year.

In my day, Grace's Cafe was the restaurant in Trent. Chinese, sandwiches, burgers, and the only place that would deliver breakfast (all on points, of course). We all loved the place. Grace always had the most cheerful disposition (at least from what I could tell on the phone), and you'd get your food anywhere on campus within 15 minutes. My comment was purely fond remembrance.

Where in the building was Grace's Cafe? Sounds like a great place. The only food we had was the cafeteria and vending machine. There was also a special foodline and dining room for the Rice Diet folks.

I have no idea. I never once set foot in Trent. Sure consumed a lot of Grace's, though. I can still hear Grace's singsong cadence and not-too-thick-not-too-thin accent in my head: "HiiithisisGrace's, mayIhelpyouuuu?

It was in the basement "Trent G" I lived there soph year (96-97) and it was great to just go down two floors for breakfast and bring it back up.
