Day 15 with no food or water, and Mom is still here. Crazy. Stressful.

I've been thinking of you and your family a lot this past week. :ymhug: :YMPRAY: :wizard:

Might of mispronounced your last name but you were all lifted in prayer during church this morning.

Your mom is a strong lady. So are you.

Love and prayers.

She's in the down glide as I began to think of it when my own mother went through the same thing. She may be more aware than it appears. Be there. Say what you have to say. Talk to her about special memories you share. Your presence and that of other family members is an important support for her.....and for each other. ;;)

Sing to her - songs from her youth and early adult years. Music is a strong memory. And you have the voice. :ymhug:

Still time for special moments to be created, if not for her, for you and your siblings...

I hope you can actually feel this Crazie Family's love and care all around you in the air. Take a quiet moment, close your eyes, and let it soak in.

Thanks, all. I can definitely feel the vibes.

My siblings all needed to return to work today, so I'm holding down the fort with Dad. Hospice folks (who are wonderful) came to treat all the pressure wounds. I'm keeping pain meds on board. Breathing still shallow but it is there.

Here's an interesting and telling contrast. My younger sister worked yesterday in order to get ahead on hours (she is out of leave time, I believe). She wrote an email to her supervisor, updating him on Mom's condition and telling him what she did at work. His response was one line, reprimanding her for leaving a heater on in the lab. I sent an email to our timekeeper, letting her know that I would be out this week. She responded with a request for my address here so they could send me a care package. They have been wonderful and supportive. All in all, it makes my current job situation look a lot better.

My sister forwarded the email from her supervisor up the food chain. Here's hoping the asshat gets a reprimand.

AD, I feel for you and your family, but in all honesty, I hope your mom passes peacefully, sooner rather than later, for your and your family's sake, and hers.

Glad to hear your current employers are being nice guys, rather than their usual asshat roll.

Thanks, Ozzie. We are all right there with you. We hate to see her suffer.

My mom passed away peacefully this morning. We are all thankful that her struggles are over and she is at peace.

Grant her eternal rest, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. Give Your comfort to those who mourn, especially Cheryl.
