Hi, Brunchgate gang! I thought of you today and hoped for clear weather. Since I couldn't be there, I went to Ted Drewe's and had a TerraMizzou concrete. Looks like a good time was had by all.

If only I could pry the First Mate away from her indentured servitude and unrelenting devotion to her invalid father for more than 1 hour, I'd be there in the time it takes to drive. :(( On this, you may rest assured.

Pops is a victim of 4th stage COPD and resides in our humble home. She is his more than willing aide, not allowing the thought of much needed assistance, even in her own time of need. She has two herniated spine discs and one ruptured. Having no trouble in procrastinating her surgery, she continues to languish in slavery to a man that, I am certain, would not follow anything resembling a mutual course of action. :x One day she will obtain freedom. We don't know when :-?? , for he has had this condition at the 4th stage for over 2 years. Until then, I post, therefore I am. :ympray:

Reply to captmojo's above post as I could not imbed all the quotes.

Blessings on your First Mate and you, too. We shall hoist an ale or three in your collective honors during our fall gatherings. Truly amazing devotion. Thanks for sharing.

OH, MOJO.........count me in on the sympathy, empathy poll! I'm so sorry to hear of the upheaval in your life, too. After a while, one begins to see the situation as "the new normal". It seems to just go on forever. If you are like me, you really count on the goofiness going on around the crazietalk and otb boards for lighthearted company.

Please cut Mrs. Mojo some slack. And kidnap her if you have to for only an hour or so of time together when neither of you is allowed to talk about your problems. And give and get some great big hugs and smiles.

Blue Devil Vibes are legendary. I'm passing some of mine along. (I've been stockpiling them for months!) :ymhug:
Love, Ima

Well said Ima, you have more perspective than most any of us could.
Brunchgate welcomes those who are there and those who wish they could be, even in spirit. My gut feeling is we've started a tradition that will continue even if any founders aren't in attendance.
Wow...that just made me think a bit...we need t-shirts! Draw upon the spirit of BOG, and think football....nananananananana.

"New Normal", huh? Ain't it da truf? Ain't it da truf? Goofy is my normal state. :))
I cut all the slack I can. He has reached a point of incontinence that makes nearly any function of living not possible on his own.
Thanks for the vibes. I know their legend and I bounce'm back for you.
Oh yeah. I didn't mention that he's such a baby that he pouts if she so much as leaves to go grocery shopping. I know he's frustrated, but damn!
