Are y'all at or near the firehouse? I might drive down tomorrow morning and join y'all for lunch! I'm looking for a street address I can put in my GPS!

Hey Ozzie, send me a text when you're in town. Kelly and I will be cruising down tomorrow, possibly with our neighbors in tow. I don't think we're going until later in the day though, around 2:00 I think.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Are y'all at or near the firehouse? I might drive down tomorrow morning and join y'all for lunch! I'll probably be gone about the time you get there - I have to be back in Foscoe about 4.Miles wrote:Hey Ozzie, send me a text when you're in town. Did you have fun?DukePA wrote:SFD, we didn't place in anything, MF-ing tarholes : (. For the record, Ozzie, Miles, Kelly, Kyle and his college buddies said we should have won. It's a conspiracy, I tell you! Damn tarholes
Well Damn! I saw the pix and I think everything was a winner! GTHc GTH 9fDukePA wrote:SFD, we didn't place in anything, MF-ing tarholes : (. For the record, Ozzie, Miles, Kelly, Kyle and his college buddies said we should have won. It's a conspiracy, I tell you! Damn tarholes
Well, that's all that matters, then!DukePA wrote:We had lots, lots, lots of fun
Ditto! Did you have a piece of TNT's coconut cake? If not, you missed out!Miles wrote:Kelly, my neighbor Rob, and I had a good time! It was great to see Ozzie for a few minutes and great to catch up with the whole crew.
I don't care what the judges thought, my two plates of pork and ribs were delicious!
I've never had DPA's ribs so I can't speak about their prize worthiness. I have had several slices of Tim's coconut cake and if that was not prize worthy, then the judges can all KMA because his is even better than a truly outstanding coconut cake that Joy makes and her recipe and execution is pretty damned good.CameronBornAndBred wrote:A huge thanks to all who came out! It was great seeing Ozzie covered from ear to ear in Donna's rib sauce, as well as Miles and his gang. DPA's nephew even came in unexpectedly! Even though we didn't win anything this time, we still met our constant goal of not coming in last, and we had a ton of fun. Looking forward to the next one.
We don't meed requirement #1 of the "Pig Jig".OZZIE4DUKE wrote:I'm sort of surprised you guys aren't in Raleigh this weekend at the State fairgrounds at the Taste of nc cookoff event. The morning news said there were 40 teams competing.
We don't have any others planned as of now. I'm sure we'll do Rocky Mount again since that's on an away-day weekend, and hopefully another over the summer. The Carolina Pig Jig (CPJ) Cook-off is a closed competition BBQ cook-off, to only Masonic organizations.
