I never anticipated that having a possibly asthmatic daughter (too young to diagnose) could turn into house arrest every time a new allergen floats across the city.

This time she got an ear infection from all the nose stuff and is getting frequent nebulizer treatments to keep those airways open. Hey, I'm glad she's alive and the medicine works, but so weird to be stuck at home because of all this.
Vibes to you and your daughter! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I went to Austin, Tx. today. My cousin, Melinda are staying with her daughter. We went Central Market, where Hilarie works. WOW. They Brewtopia. Much fun. We sampled Breckenridge. They had one IPA that was double, 9 1/2. I didn't buy because I knew I wouldn't drink one by my self. I did buy Sierra Nevada ipa. We had cheese, fruit and beer for dinner. Hard to tell what we will do tomorrow.

I went to the doctor for a wellness exam. I haven't had one in about eight years so I figured it was time, plus I'd like to get a feel for my health today, and my health after six months of training. They took blood, gave my a Td booster and checked for hernias and stuff. So far, everything is going well.

Have them take you to Salt Lick if you like brisket--and if you don't, go anyways.

I think Hula Hut is pretty fun and indicative of the Austin funky-weird. It's tex-mex meets Hawaii.

Thanks everyone for the generous vibes! She's doing a lot better and was able to go to the children's program at church today--although I did ask that they keep her indoors during play ground time. They said she did great.

Yesterday, one of our stops was the Whole Foods store. It's the parent store. I have never seen anything like this. No other Whole Foods compares to this one. They have multiple dinning stations. Each one has their specialty. There is also a full bar. This store is huge. In the evening we went to Congress St. bridge. Under this bridge lives about one and a half million Mexican Free Tail bats. Very close to sundown, they start flying out traveling towards Mexico. It's an awesome sight. They look like ribbons floating in the sky from the distance. The reason they live under the bridge is the temperature and humidity are perfect to raise the babies. Some time in October, they fly back to Mexico for the winter. We then went to a great Mexican restaurant for dinner.

I got home just in time to take Willie out before bed. @-)

I'm hoping to go nowhere today. Literally, I'll step out the door to get the mail and work on the yard. But that's it.

Getting out the front door may prove to have been too ambitious.

Yesterday in Austin, we did lots of little funky shops. We had lunch at Hop Doddy's. Wonderful hamburgers with home made rolls (they have nothing on our tailgate), fresh cut french fries and terrific root beer. Last night we had dinner at Azul Tequila. They Mariachi band. Lots of fun.

We left Austin and are now in San Antonia. :happy-bouncyblue:
