I knew it was a bad omen for Duke when, on ESPN's special, Nolan Smith talked briefly about his toe (with images (gross)).

Still, somehow, I think Duke will be just fine.

Vibes.

Hate the injury, but props to the headline.

Also, Toe Jam can also spell "Jo Meat."

Sorry. I've been a little distracted and missed a personal request for vibes.

Sending major ass healing vibes toe (couldn't help myself) Kyrie.

March, that's a long time to be out of action. Too long for such a great player.

This is the kind of Optoemism I can get behind! Posted by Tommy OY
Now I Like the Sound of This!

Kyrie's buddy Dexter Strickland has apparently been hanging out with him in NJ recently, and is talking like Kyrie will definitely be back, and perhaps sooner than any of us could have reasonably imagined.

Said Dexter: “It was good seeing him. We talked about his foot and he said maybe two months or six weeks or whatever.” (unclear if he meant from now or from the time of the injury, but I'd guess the latter.)

Later Strickland even held out hope for a much earlier return for his friend, saying he hoped Kyrie could return in time for North Carolina’s game at Duke Feb. 9.

Feb. 9? I can't imagine that really, but who knows?

I think they'll have to be really, really SURE he's completely healed before they take a chance. He'd be better off not taking the a risk if there is the slightest question. A re-injury would definitely send his stock plummeting. He'd be better off going into the draft with one injury on his record than two nagging ones. bless his heart.

Thanks, Ozzie. This is a strange year, isn't it ... with strokes, and toes, etc. Let's all be careful when we cross the street.

Thanks Ozzie. The article explains a lot. I have a much better understanding. I just hope, more for Kyre than anyone, that his injury heals without a hitch. :duke:

Kyrie Irving: Yes my dearest of friends, the latter surely is true.
